Today while I was at work, I had a visitor, Berrian (Butch) Lindsey. Butch was in 2/17th Artillery during 1966. He and his wife had driven from Rapid City, South Dakota to visit their daughter in Spring, Texas. He then drove to Giddings and paid a visit with me. We went to an old place called the City Meat Market and had BBQ for lunch. We talked about the 17th Artillery in general. I then showed him our web site of which he liked very much. Our visit was short 1 1/2 hours, but we covered a lot of territory. I had to get back to work and he had to go back to Spring, Texas. I enjoyed his visit very much. Hope to see Butch at the reunion.

Excellent site, gentlemen. The 2/17th supported the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam until the division moved south in 1968. Who knows - one of you may have pulled the lanyard that saved one of us grunts. Thanx.
