Just thought I'd let everyone know that I've been overrun with virused junk mail lately, mostly from Porn sites. Been getting on the average of 3 to 5 per day. I've activated a pretty harsh mail scrubber which means that if your not in my address book your email won't get through to me. I hated to do this but enough is enough. Most of you all are in my address book who are members of the Association. But if your new and you've never emailed me before let me know by calling me or leave a message here in the Guestbook so I can put you in my address book. If others are having the same problem with Crap emails which are infected I'd like to here how you are handling this situation.

Our 17th Artillery Caps & T Shirts are hot items, check them out here in the website. We've sold out of some of the designs and sizes, but still have a good supply of many of the designs. Check the stuff out here in the website.

DAV-Golden Corral National Military Appreciation Night

Golden Corral will again partner with the Disabled American Veterans for a national Military Appreciation Night on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2002. From 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on that date, all veterans and active duty personnel will receive a complimentary dinner buffet at nearly five hundred Golden Corral locations from coast to coast. Already known as one of the finest family restaurant chains in America, Golden Corral merits special commendation for its unwavering commitment to those who have preserved our nation's freedoms.

Last year, Golden Corral and DAV launched the first national Military Appreciation night. The response was extraordinary. More than 214,000 veterans and active duty personnel took advantage of Golden Corral's hospitality and enjoyed free dinners.

For locations: http://www.goldencorral.net/RestaurantFinder.asp

Go to their web site and find the nearest one to you. They have good food and they are much respectful of the Veterans. This is something that we don't see very much of anymore. Golden Corral, we appreciate what you are doing, I'll be there on Veterans Day Nov 11, 2002.

I was assigned to the 3/17th Artillery at Merrill Barracks (the former SS Caserne) in Neurnberg, Germany in December 1966 as a newly commissioned Lieutenant from OCS. When I arrived there were only 5 officers and two warrants. The unit had been heavily pulled down to meet the demands of the Vietnam buildup. I was assigned as XO of A battery with Captain Steven Induni and later Lt. Lester Dawson as Battery Commanders. I became Battery Commander following Lt. Dawson for a year. I finished my service with the unit as the Maintenance Officer. I left the 3/17 and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in I Corp Vietnam. I served with the 2/319th Artillery based at Camp Evans and went to the Ashau Valley and later the DMZ with them. There are a whole bunch of fellow officers I would like to hear from to include but not limited to Mr. Faultisek, Doug Wilson my roommate, Jim --??------, Ron Stenson, my XO Lt Erwin, Major Hoar, my driver Walter Wicker
