I was stationed at Herzo Base, Germany from 1955-1957 and returned there last summer for the 1000th Anniversary of the village. I would like to hear from some of the men who were there when it was a FA Base (especially someone who was there when the base closed). I am trying to put together my album of the history of the Base circa 1935-Present and would appreciate if someone from the 210th FA Brigade would contact me with info about the base during their stay and photos of the base and town. I have a photo (from Stars & Stripes 8/30/91) of the "Farewell to Herzo" story. Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank You Mike Burke for allowing me to view the pictures! Such fine and great pictures you have all put together. This is a great website. For whomever sees my comment, my fiancé is in Iraq, presently serving with the 4th ID. Just received word he'll be over there a little longer than expected. I think this is wonderful that you all can come together like this and meet. I believe it has taken to long for Vietnam Veterans to finally be recognized as they should have been long ago when you all came back from there. My heart goes out for every man and woman who has served for their country and continues to do so at this time. I respect all of you. My fiancé's name is Sgt. Ronald F. Garcia with the United States Army.
