50 years ago on this date South Vietnam fell to the Communists of North Vietnam.🇺🇸
Ref. Terry Wallace- I received a call from Neal Fouts last night telling me Terry Wallace had passed away yesterday morning. I called Terry's wife, Margie, afterwards and she told me that he'd passed away yesterday morning. He'd been in the hospital two weeks earlier. She said they still had not determined his cause of death but would probably have to wait for the death certificate. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at present time. She did say that she was looking at next Monday afternoon of having his funeral in China Grove, NC where he was originally from. They had lived in Tenn. for several years. I will post info as I receive it. Please keep the family in your prayers. Remember, cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way! (No private info is placed on this site being it is public)

Harry Fetsick asked me last week to send this out to all of our members. After reading about it, I feel very strongly in trying to get a group together in our local towns.
My late stepfather spent the last two years of his life in a nursing home from heart problems and a stroke. (He retired USMC with two tours of Nam.) My late best friend's sister called me 90 days after he was buried and read a letter to me from the VA. He had been approved for 100% disability due to having served at Quang Tri after seven heart attacks and the last one fatal. It did him a lot of good after passing away before he received the notice. Please contact the website for further events especially an upcoming one in PA. Richard A. Smith-Chaplain

My grandfather served with and was a POW with this unit in WW2. His service card reads “Bat. E. 2d Bn. 17th Field Artillery” any information about his service would be amazing and certainly welcomed. My email is sgtpelletier@gmail.com and his name was Lawrence Pelletier. Thank you and god bless.
I just wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope all are doing well. I haven't been much help the past two weeks trying to keep in touch with sick members. I've had a few bad days lately of my own but I think the worst was learning my only first cousin passed away a week ago Wed. He found out the first of the year that he was unaware he was in Stage four cancer. Even up into his death they could not find out where the source was. He lived with his family in Phoenix, AZ. He was a Navy veteran and a "young" 58 years old. Please keep my cousin, David Allgood's, family in your prayers.
Happy Veterans Day to all you glorious bastards.
