REF.- BILL DAHLIN- I spoke with Bill today, after receiving an email from him yesterday. He was admitted Friday to MCA hospital, believed to be in Arlington, TX. Bill and I spoke for a while and he was telling me about problems with his leg. I spoke with his wife Susan who came in while we were speaking.
She says that he has cellulitis and sepsis. Bill acknowledged that he has no idea when he’ll be released but said it might be a while. Please lift this great man and pillar of our organization up in your prayers. He needs them along with his wife. Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!

Ref.-HARRY FETSICK- Harry was scheduled to have his knee surgery yesterday after approximately one year. He was taken to the hospital yesterday and was going through the admissions procedures when he had to stand up to get on the scales for his weight. The brake on one side of his wheelchair malfunctioned thus pushing him into the bars that he was to hold on the scales. He hit his bad knee against the bars thus causing the wound to reopen. A surgeon was notified and stated he couldn’t have the surgery now until treated by a wound specialist. At this time no exact date is known for surgery. Please continue to keep Harry and his family in your prayers. Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way.

Ref. HARRY FETSICK & FAMILY/ BILL DAHLIN: I spoke with Rosie and Harry Fetsick both today. Rosie is all healed up from her surgery and their son’s gall bladder surgery was successful. Harry is scheduled for surgery, after almost one year, for his knee again. He’s having a pre-op today for scheduled surgery March 21,2023 at Allegheny Hospital. (In PA. but don’t know town as of now.) Harry had Covid and then pneumonia after that so he’s hoping everything is okay from the pre-op and surgery can go as planned.
Also Bill Dahlin is having an MRI today for his ear. Please keep both of these families in your prayers. Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!

Ref. HARRY FETSICK & FAMILY-I spoke with Harry today. He feels his Covid is pretty much gone except for the coughing and his meds are all done. He’s still having PT at home. He seems a little down because it’s been almost a year since all of this initially happened. His wife Rosie and their son made it through their surgeries okay according to Harry. We had a short prayer. Please continue to keep Harry and his family in your prayers.

Ref. Bill Dahlin-I received an email from a very good friend, Christian brother who has helped me many times with guidance, and a devoted 17th Member. "
I’m in need of prayer for healing. My leukemia (CLL) blood indicators are up to over 170 percent after being steady for a year or so. Friday, I’ll have an MRI on the inner workings of my left ear. My left ear drum 🥁 is weak to non-responsive to sound and the inside of the ear👂 always feels full for some reason or another.

Ref. HARRY & ROSIE FETZICK- I received the following email from Dan Reeves a few minutes ago. " Just talked with Rosie, she had 3 surgeries for some type infection. Said Harry is bedridden he has developed serious cough not feeling well. Also, their son will have gallbladder surgery next week."

Ref. BILL DAHLIN- Hi, Richard.
I had the bandage removed from my week old, replacement heart pacemaker and the wound area cleaned and left open this morning. It’s looking and feeling good. Now I have to set up an app on my I-phone app to have it monitored. Thanks for all the prayers and pray-ers. Much appreciated!

UPDATES ON SEVERAL MEMBERS
Ref. GENE JOHNSON- Gene is still on dialysis and other than that he's doing okay. He sends his regards.
Ref. MICK SHANKLIN- He has had a stroke and brain tumor (few details known at present)
Ref.-JERRY 'DOC" AND JOANNA CODY- They both are recovering from Covid.
Ref.-HARRY FETSICK- Harry has had a few pieces of good news with his hospitalization and rehab. He is now home and taking rehab there. The Dr.'s have said that his blood is negative for any infection so now he's awaiting a date for surgery on his knee. The VA put a ramp at his house along with a chair lift for his use as well.
Ref. BUDDY ARMSTRONG- Buddy, Charles Riley,(my old section chief) and I all met at our first reunion we attended in 2003. Buddy is a Korean war vet from the 17th. Buddy told me, from his home in Ala., That he just quit walking four miles daily five times a week because his legs were bothering hm. Buddy is 90 years young! (Makes us younger guys look bad!)

Ref. BILL BEERS family thank you card.- I received this today from Bill’s family.- Dear 17th Artillery regiment Association,
We cannot thank you all enough, for all the love and support you all gave our Dad. Your warmth and kindness, cards, calls, and prayers were greatly appreciated more than you will ever know.
The 17th is a very special group of people. The stories dad would share with us from all the reunions and how much each one of you meant to him. There wasn’t a week that went by that he would receive calls from at least three or more members. He would get a smile on his face when he would hear from each of you. We also wanted to say thank-you for the beautiful flowers. I dried them and I am going to hang them on my parent’s home.
