Ref. HARRY FETSICK- (Per Dan Reeves) Received text from his son, Jason, with new phone number in his room
412 360-2153. His son says he is talking better and knows his family not so confused now.
He finally had surgery on Saturday.
I called Harry, he recognizes my voice immediately. We talked about 5 minutes. He was alert but uncomfortable with pain. He did tell me the nurses cute. That's a good sign he is alert now. He is accepting calls, says he bored out of his mind.
He authorized this report to be posted.
Thinking of all of you today. And all that can't be with us this Memorial Day, know they will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Harry's wife told me that they went fishing about two weeks ago and Harry fell due to a bad knee. They took him home and he has been confused since then. They believe it's come from the fall and possibly meds. He has since been admitted to the VA hospital in Pittsburg ,PA. The address for the hospital is 240 University Dr. C , Pittsburg, PA 15240 (412)360-6611. Please keep Harry and his family in your prayers. Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way.

Re. BILL BEERS- With a very sad heart I was informed by Bill’s daughter Michelle that Bill passed away early this morning. The association has lost a good man, a patriot, and a friend to all as well as a close friend to my wife and myself for almost 20 years. ( As Guestbook entries have kept up with his condition the last few weeks I’m hoping this will reach those that haven’t heard about it. ) Funeral arrangements haven’t been made yet but Michelle will notify me as soon as she does so. Please keep Bill’s family in your thoughts and prayers as we say good-by to a great man. Remember, cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!
Ref. Bill Beers- I spoke with Bill's daughter Michelle this morning. She says he's had a few rough days and is eating very little. She also says that she has some family support helping as well. Please continue to remember Bill and his family in your thoughts and prayers
Ref. BILL BEERS- I spoke with Michelle and Bill today. Michelle said he’d been sleeping a lot over the last few days. He was awake so she put the phone to his ear. He heard me and told me he was okay. His speech was sluggish, and we made it a short conversation and had a prayer with the three of us of which he acknowledged.
Michelle told me, when asked, that several members have called of which he was happy about.
Please continue to keep Bill and his family in your prayers during this hard time.
Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!
ref.-BILL BEARS I spoke with Michelle (Bill's daughter) today. Bill was awake at the time I called and she asked Bill if he could talk to me. His first words, "Hello buddy!" I heard a sigh when I asked him, "How are you Conway." I heard a sigh and he replied, " I ain't no Conway!" He hasn't lost his sense of humor but he knew who I was and who he WASN'T. Please keep Bill and his daughter Michelle and the other caretakers helping him in your prayers.
Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!
Ref. GENE JOHNSON- I spoke with Gene today. He seemed to be doing okay with the exception of daily dialysis. He wanted to send regards from him and Carol being they can't make the reunion this year. Gene says it takes roughly a little over 3 hours for the daily procedure and then time to drive back home. He felt that he wouldn't have enough time after the dialysis and driving back to the hotel to really enjoy such a short day. Please keep him in your prayers. Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayer go a long way!
Ref. BILL DAHLIN- I received this this afternoon.
Brothers Dave, Sam, Joe, Richard, Nolan, Mac, Will, Wade, Dennis, Tim & Keith,
My kidney doctor informed me this morning that my kidney disease has
moved up to stage 4 from stage 3. If it
continues up to stage 5, I will require kidney dialysis. Current treatment involves eliminating, cutting back and adding to four of my high blood pressure
Rx drugs. These four medicines have effectively kept my blood pressure within 125 to 140 but they very probably may be increasing my kidneys’ deterioration rate.
Brother Bill
Remember cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way.
Ref. Bill Beers ; I just got off the phone after speaking with Bill this morning. He’s been sick and vomiting today and thinks one of the meds are doing it to him. Even though he can’t talk long sometimes , he appreciates the calls from Doc Cody, Gil, Harry Fetsick and others.
Remember cards calls, emails and prayer goes a long way!
Ref. Bill Beers: I spoke with Bill today and he was having a very painful day with his arms and legs and also with vomiting. He said Hospice was getting another prescription for him. He also told me Harry Fetsick called today. His daughter is with him today. Please continue to keep Bill in your prayers.
Ref. Bill BEERS- Bill and I had a great conversation this morning. He was upbeat and sounding like the same old Bill. His daughter Michell was with him. He's looking forward to Branson. He also wished Cathy and me a Happy Anniversary. (He was supposed to have walked Cathy down the aisle but was unable to come.)
He mentioned sometimes he doesn't talk on the phone due to taking medications so just call back later.
Bill and I had a very good religious talk this morning especially about his spiritual convictions which I had discussed with him. He said he was also anointed this past week by a priest. We prayed together especially about accepting his salvation.
Please continue to keep Bill in your prayers as well as his family and caregivers.
Remember cards, calls, emails and prayers go a long way!
Ref. Bill Bears-Gil Bernabe said he spoke with Bill yesterday and he was using small bites. He also informed me that several of his buddies from his 101st Airborne Association have called and come by to see him along with a few he served in Viet Nam together. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Remember, cards, calls, emails, and prayers go a long way!
